Eddy Duquenne, CEO of Kinepolis Group, received at CineEurope, the longest-running and most successful European convention and trade show for Major, Regional, and Independent cinema professionals, the "International Exhibitor of the Year Award". The award is a recognition for the experience Kinepolis offers its customers. Kinepolis wants to offer moviegoers 'the ultimate movie experience' and aspires to be the best in cinema operations, marketing and real estate management, the three pillars of its strategic model.

The Kinepolis CEO received the prestigious award at the Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) in Barcelona, Spain. Eddy Duquenne was very honoured with the international recognition and dedicated the award to his team of more than 2300 employees.

Together with Joost Bert, CEO next to Eddy Duquenne and representative of the reference shareholders, Duquenne heralded a new approach these last years through his strong management vision. Under their management, the company performed exceptionally well and achieved considerable growth in spite of the stagnating cinema attendance.

The entire Kinepolis team, the Board of Directors and the Bert family want to congratulate their CEO Eddy Duquenne for winning this prestigious award.
