Kinepolis Group: visitor numbers for the third quarter of 2008

| Financial
In the third quarter of 2008 (from July to September inclusive) Kinepolis sold 5.4 million tickets, down 5.9% on the same period in 2007. Over the period from January to September as a whole, the Kinepolis Group therefore welcomed 15.8 million visitors, 3.8% fewer than in 2007. In 2007 the third quarter was marked by a strong film offer (('Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix', 'Ratatouille', 'The Simpsons Movie'). Compared with the quarterly review, based on the film titles of the third quarter, the management considers the achieved visitor numbers as positive, partly thanks to the good "cinema weather" in July and August.   The international film peak in the third trimester was respectively thanks to 'Hancock', 'Kung Fu Panda', 'The Dark Knight', 'Wall-e' and 'Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian'.   The films in store include 'Madagascar 2', 'James Bond: Quantum of Solace', 'High School Musical 3', Body of Lies', 'The Day the Earth stood Still', 'Australia' and for Belgium the 3D-film 'Journey in the Centre of the Earth'. Forthcoming Flemish films are 'Loft', 'Piet Piraat 3', 'Christmas in Paris' and 'Blinker en de Blixvaten' Spain is looking forward to 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona', and France to 'Coluche', 'Mesrine', 'L'emmerdeur' and 'Largo Winch'.   The second live-opera season premiered Saturday 11/10/08 with 'Salome' by Richard Strauss on Saturday (Belgium, France). The first opera presentation charmed more than 2600 opera lovers. Subscription sales and business-to-business events for 'Opera in de Cinema' are going like a bomb. Kinepolis Belgium and France sold more than 1,000 subscriptions.   On 9/10/08, on the occasion of a press conference, the Belgium film voucher was introduced by Minister Didier Reynders. In Belgium, companies can now offer their employees film vouchers as gifts. The film voucher is a social bonus for the personnel, just like book and culture vouchers. Kinepolis welcomes this initiative and financial incentive enthusiastically.
