First new-built Kinepolis cinema opens in the Netherlands; Breda and Utrecht under construction    Dordrecht (The Netherlands) - Today, Kinepolis's first new-built project in the Netherlands will be officially opened in the presence of Eddy Duquenne and Joost Bert, CEO's Kinepolis Group, as well as city councillors P.H. Sleeking and J. Mos of Dordrecht Municipality. Kinepolis Dordrecht has 6 screens and 1,200 seats and targets 300,000 visitors per year.   Eddy Duquenne (CEO Kinepolis Group): "It's been almost ten years since we opened a new-built cinema, and it's fantastic to be able to do this in a dynamic city such as Dordrecht, at this beautiful location alongside the Wantij. The cinema blends in perfectly with Dordrecht's urban development and we are happy to be able to offer its inhabitants a diverse film and cultural offer and a unique Kinepolis experience, in short 'the ultimate movie experience'."   In the summer of 2014, Kinepolis took over the Dutch cinema group Wolff Bioscopen, acquiring 9 existing cinemas and 2 new-built projects, including the plans for Kinepolis Dordrecht. The second project involved the construction of a multiplex in Utrecht Jaarbeurs. Construction on the latter began in the second half of 2015 and its opening is planned for the beginning of 2017. Prior to this date, probably at the end of July 2016, Kinepolis will also be opening a new cinema in Breda, a multiplex with 10 screens and 1,700 seats, that wil be part of the brand new "Breepark" event area.   With the opening of Kinepolis Dordrecht and the takeover of Utopia (Utopolis) at the end of last year, Kinepolis now operates 14 cinemas in the Netherlands, with a total of 84 screens and over 16,000 seats. After the recently converted Kinepolis Enschede, Kinepolis Dordrecht is the second Dutch cinema to be called "Kinepolis". Work is also being completed on the conversion of 'Kinepolis' Groningen.   For further information concerning the film offer at Kinepolis Dordrecht, visit www.kinepolis.nl.
